Nonfiction Book Club: "How to Live"

Wednesday October 25th, 2023 @ 6:00PM - 7:00 PM

The Odd Volumes Nonfiction Book Club will read "How to Live: A Life of Montaigne in One Question and Twenty Attempts at an Answer," by Sarah Bakewell.

Please join us to discuss this book, in which Sarah Bakewell (author of "At the Existentialist Cafe") uses the life and essays of philosopher Michel de Montaigne to consider the question of how to lead a good life.

The Odd Volumes Book Club is a monthly gathering of deeply curious and voracious nonfiction readers. It is based loosely on the Sette of Odd Volumes, a whimsical society of 19th-Century British bibliophiles who met to discuss learned topics of interest to them, ranging from science to history to archaeology. The Odd Volumes Book Club will meet to discuss a current nonfiction book chosen by the group.

Meetings are on the last Wednesday of the month at 6PM. Free and all are welcome. Customers who are reading the book for the Book Club receive a 15% discount.
