Frenchtown Walking Tours : Downtown Tour

This will be a benefit tour for local resident Johanna Goodale

Here's one of the many chances throughout the year to learn more about Frenchtown's quirky history from our very own resident Historian himself!

Even if you lived in Frenchtown your whole life, you might not know about the first-grader who made the town’s first direct-dial phone call in 1961, or the alligators who lived on Harrison Street, or what our first prisoner did to the holding cell in 1875, or the drunken guy who beat his car to death with a hammer in 1935, or Cornelius Larison, who claimed that his grandfather named Frenchtown in the 1790s. Here these tales and more at the Downtown tour!

Tours are 90 minutes long and if you're interested or have questions, send and email to rickepstein@yahoo.com. Let him know you'd like to join  the tour and he will let you know where to meet up!
