Frenchtown Walking Tours : Upper Cemetery Tour
Here's one of the many chances throughout the year to learn more about Frenchtown's quirky history from our very own resident Historian himself!
Visit the graves of Clarence Doan, Frenchtown’s unluckiest citizen; Amos Hart, whose resume included burglary, prison, and murder; Charles Strine, whose dreams were shattered by the San Francisco earthquake in 1906; Cpl. Finney, who joined the Army for his health and died five weeks later; Elden Cooley, who found trouble again and again; Frank Barrett, who worked one day a year; and many more.
Tours are 90 minutes long and if you're interested or have questions, send and email to rickepstein@yahoo.com. Let him know you'd like to join the tour and he will let you know where to meet up!
