Diana Jones in concert, “Song to a Refugee” Tour

The Sunday Music Club welcomes award-winning Americana singer/songwriter Diana Jones, whose "Song to a Refugee" album draws comparisons to Woody Guthrie.

Diana Jones is often compared to Gillian Welch for her powerful rootsy songwriting, and her songs have been recorded by Joan Baez and Nanci Griffith.  But, Woody Guthrie is the true ancestor of her new album, "Song to a Refugee," featuring guest artists Steve Earle, Richard Thompson, and Peggy Seeger. The New York Times said the album "steadfastly sides with the oppressed, in the spirit of Woody Guthrie's 'Dust Bowl Ballads'."
